This morning started with avalanche canons blasting and snowploughs on the main road but on checking the conditions at 7 you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face even though it had snowed in the night again!!! A bit of a read to just past 9 then checked again and our van had disappeared under a foot of snow for the second time this week and the sun was coming out :)
So a quick bowl of porridge and Rob and I get a day lift pass for the first time this week and were on the slopes by 10.30!!! The conditions were just perfect on and off-piste and sadly Mag and Dan made the wrong decision to stay at the apartment but Rob and I had a ball in some of the best snow ever!!! With a lot of skiers sticking to the piste!!! we had the whole of the off-piste to the left of the Eucherts Express to ourselves making fresh tracks from top to bottom through the trees We then headed down Mar Cassin black and had loads of power runs !!! Rob was getting a bit fed up waiting for me as I had to keep stopping to take pics of our tracks!!!
The cloud returns at midday :( Rob heads off to the fort and I met up with Mag and Dan (snowboarding again) but the conditions were not so good in the low light and the pistes were a bit bumpy and the off-piste well skied :) Dan tried an off-piste run then went off to La Rosiere while Mag and I had a couple of hours having a laugh in the trees at Eucherts .
So a top day, shame we lost the sun!!! Fingers crossed for more snow tonight and clear blue skies tomorrow!!!
